Michigan Community Ambulance Service (SMCAS) is accepting applications
for the position of full time Patient Accounts Specialist. This
is a 40 hour per week position with negotiable pay (based on
experience) and a benefits package. |
Job Duties include answering billing questions via walk in, phone call
or mail correspondences, initial and re-billing of patient accounts,
posting account receivables, preparing daily bank deposits, working
collection accounts, as well as other routine office duties and other
duties as may be assigned. |
Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or GED, Excellent
oral and written communication skills, experience working with
computers and software programs, willingness to attend meetings and
educational conferences/classes beneficial to the position and must be
able to pass pre-hire drug screening. Prefer individuals with
prior experience in EMS or medical related insurance billing, knowledge
of Tri-Tech (formerly Sweet Billing) billing software and knowledge of
current Medicare and Medicaid billing guidelines, requirements and laws. |
